A Study on the Physical Measurement and Health Status of the Officials in Jeonbug Province

Abstract
|
|
|
For the purpose of ascertaining the status of physical measurement and health status of the officials in Jeonbug Province, survey was conducted by the author toward a total of 2,210 persons (male, 1,988: female, 222) who served in jeonbug area. The results obtained were as follows A. Physical Status
B. The highest simple correlation coefficient between physical measurement and blood pressure in male was 0.33 of body weight while that of female was 0.15.
C. Indicies of Physical and Nutritional Status
1. Relative body weight was 37. 1 for male in 1973 and 36. 9 in 1975 while 33.3 for female in 1973 and 32.8 in 1975.
2. Relative Chest-girth by sex indicated around 54 in 1973 & 1975.
3. Rohrer index was 1.34 in male and 1.37 in female in 1973, while 1.33 in male & 1.34 in female in 1975. Kaup index was 2.23 & 2.13 in 1973 and 2.21 & 2. 10 in 1975. Vervaeck index was 91.6 & 87.7 in 1973, and 91.3 & 86.3 in 1975.
D. The vision of the officials under 0.8 with HAHN´S testing chart was 17.3 per cent in 1973 and 18.4 per cent in 1975, while that of under 0. 5 both visions was 6.3 per cent in 1973 and 6.8 per cent in 1975,
E. Pulmonary tuberculosis was diagnosed 3.7 per cent in 1973, and 2.6 per cent in 1975 among total of 2210 officials.
